The short version: We collect your name and email when you request the MCP Starter Kit. We use that information to send you the kit and, occasionally, updates from My Career Assist. We don’t sell your data. Ever.

What we collect and why
MCP Starter Kit requests
When you submit your name and email through the form on our Resources page, we collect that information to deliver the MCP Starter Kit to your inbox and to send you occasional updates about Modern Career Planning™ resources.
We use WPForms to power the form and Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to deliver emails. Your information is stored securely and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Coaching session bookings
If you book a 55-minute session through the Work with Edward page, you’ll be directed to Calendly to schedule. Calendly collects your name, email, and calendar availability independently. You can review Calendly’s privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy.
MCP Playbook purchases
If you purchase the MCP Playbook, you’ll be directed to Gumroad to complete payment. Gumroad handles all payment processing — we never see or store your payment information. You can review Gumroad’s privacy policy at gumroad.com/privacy.
Cookies
This site uses standard WordPress cookies to maintain basic site functionality. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How long we keep your data
We retain your name and email for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at echiang@mycareerassist.com.
Your rights
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request correction of anything inaccurate, request deletion of your information, and opt out of email communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at echiang@mycareerassist.com and we’ll respond within 5 business days.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
