Career advising is broken. So I built a system.
Here’s why it works — and who built it.

The Story
Most career frameworks are built around jobs and titles — not the person. The professionals who thrive take a different approach. They know who they are, they build the right relationships, and they develop skills with purpose.
I became a manager at 27 with no roadmap. I made plenty of mistakes. In 2013, a mentor changed that. He taught me what it actually takes to lead in organizations.
The question I kept hearing from every person I managed or mentored never changed: “How do I get from here to there?” Executives gave clichés — work harder, take the job no one wants, be in the right place at the right time. The advice sounded reasonable and led nowhere. I decided to find something better.
Over years of mentoring, coaching, and listening, the patterns became clear enough to systematize. Modern Career Planning™ is what emerged. Modern Career Planning™ is USPTO-registered (TXU002373501). It is not a blog post, a course, or a book. It is a documented, reproducible framework — built to last.
The professionals who build great careers don’t leave them to chance. They plan with intention, build with purpose, and lead from a foundation of self-knowledge.
